  • A Pregnancy Moment

    I realized I was having a major pregnancy moment when I realized the reason my pants were feeling so uncomfortable was because I had put them on backwards.  Yeah, I actually did that.  Not one of my proudest moments.

  • Yeah for Blue!

    Five years ago when I was about nine months pregnant with Alyssa we had just moved into our first home and I was in a major nesting mood.  So I bought a bucket of  paint and painted her room pink and white.  Tonight, as a very 7 month pregnant woman I had a little more help with Alyssa, Bella, and Adam and we painted it a sleep baby sleep blue color.  Alyssa was so cute.  She was like, "Mommy, blue is my favorite color!  Well, pink, purple, green and blue are my favorite colors, but when I get sad I'm gonna come in this room and then I won't be sad anymore."  Awwww.

  • Welcome Baby Lydia!

    Hey Ya'll, Natalie had her baby Friday.  She highly recommends the epidural.   I don't have any pictures yet, but I talked to Nat and she just got home from the hospital and feeling a lot better than she did with Carter.  I'll keep you posted for more details when I get them.

  • My New Toy

    Yeah!  I feel like it's Christmas!  I really thought those sippy cup stains were going to be part of my family forever.  I'm such a housewife.   When I said I didn't want to be one of those friends it was because in the past I've enjoyed using other peoples cleaners, but I always manage to forget to return it in a timely manner and/or replenish the cleaner.  I guess I'm paranoid of getting a reputation.

     Also, for my baby updates:  I'm 19 weeks today and we find out the gender for sure on the 27th.  And if it's not a boy I'm very thankful that Walmart has a gracious return policy.
     
    Also,  I have no idea why Xanga put a Cloverleaf commercial on my site.  Any ideas of how to get it off?

  • Nesting

    It's official, I'm in nesting mode.  I woke up with an insatiable desire to steam clean my carpets...only I don't own a steam cleaner.  So I quickly thought of how to get my hands on one. 

    A.  Borrow one from a friend?  Hmmm, I don't want to be one of those friends. 

    B.  Rent a Rug Doctor from the grocery store?  Well, they look a little too monstrous for pregnant me to carry by myself.  Besides, after spending $40 for a one time rental you might as well plunk down the extra cash just to...

    C. Buy a Bissell yourself.   So comes the next tactic, buy a Good Housekeeping magazine (the one with Jon and Kate Plus 8 on the cover) and beg your husband for the one out of the magazine.  I mean if they are recommending it then it must be a smart buy right?  (Sigh) hopefully he'll come back from the Home Depot with more than just insulation for our home.  A girl can hope right!
